Hillsideout [antique art design] takes part in Artist-in-Residence programs abroad and teaches in workshops called “Contemporary Tradition” and “Cinemano-Lab”:
Contemporary Tradition [furniture design & digital media] is based on the idea to combine manual construction techniques and digital narration but in traditional and geographical different contexts which influence the production of furniture and art pieces.
Contemporary Tradition [interventions in public spaces] is based on theoretical lectures which introduce internationally known contemporary artists and is influenced by a site-specific research of the place and architecture where the final event of public art will take place.
Cinemano-Lab [for teens age 12 and up] offers an approach to cinema through the construction of furniture. It is all about wood construction and digital animation of self-created handmade furniture pieces. They are a bit smaller in size and for younger generations – for teens age 12 and up. All objects become characters for short stop-motion videos.
