The second week was divided in two areas: the continuation of the wood workshop and the introduction of the digital workshop. On one hand the students finished the construction of the table legs. On the other hand, the students were asked to bring local materials or interesting personal objects in order to include them somehow in the furniture piece – physically or digitally.
Some of the objects and materials turned out to be adapted for the construction of the table but many objects work as well as narration. Though, photography was introduced with some concepts regarding the subject, the technical know-how and some pictures of important photographers. The personal objects became the subject to work with. Through the use of the stop-motion technique, stories could be found and the objects began moving…
However, we continued organizing materials like natural wax for wood but also technical video equipment like screens and tripods. In the meanwhile we did some site-inspections, too, of places in the city the students were talking about and which are related with its foundation in 1592…
